Hotel Room Service Fruit Plate Confusion

Early 2000s Galatasaray and Milli Takim player Volkan Arslan confidently ordered room service before bed:

“Two teas and one fruit plate.”

Simple enough.

Fifteen minutes later, the knock arrives. The waiter enters carrying two teas… and an empty ashtray-sized plate containing approximately one exhausted slice of melon and what looked like emotional damage.

The player stared at it in disbelief.

“Where is the fruit?”

“Abi you asked for the fruit plate.”
